Simon was appointed to the Board of AIB as a Non-Executive Director in October 2011. He has previously held roles as Chairman of Anchura Group Limited, and Non-Executive Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of Cable & Wireless Communications plc, and has served as Group Finance Director of 3i Group plc and the Robert Fleming Group. A Chartered Accountant, he has held a series of senior finance and operational roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, and was Director General, Finance, for HMG Department for Constitutional Affairs.
