My day-to-day practice involves dealing with the complete range of employment law concerns – from hirings and transfers, to discrimination, redundancies and disciplinaries. I have a particular interest and expertise in the law on family rights, maternity and sex discrimination, as well as how to deal with tricky disability and sickness absence issues.
I work with clients in a wide range of sectors, but with a particular emphasis on media and retail. One of my clients is a large national chain of restaurants that I advise on all employment and HR matters, including cost effective dispute resolution and practical steps to reduce claims for the future. A two year secondment in the legal department of a large department store in London has contributed to my retail industry knowledge and experience.
There is also an international flavour to my work. Recent examples include advising on international secondments and the transferring of senior employees across jurisdictions.
