Associate General Counsel – Corporate and Commercial, John Crane
Jamie joined John Crane (a division of Smiths Group Plc) in 2014 and has responsibility for advising and supporting the business on a variety of legal matters, including:
- Company secretarial – for John Crane’s 90 companies around the world;
- supporting specific business units as their legal business partner – covering contractual, litigation and regulatory issues;
- M&A – including disposals and investments; and
- Risk management and compliance, including ethics.
Jamie joined John Crane from BIS, the in-house IT function for Smiths Group Plc, where he was the Divisional General Counsel. Prior to this role, he worked at IBM in London as a senior attorney. He started his career in private practice at Freshfields and then Arnold & Porter in their London office, before joining IBM.
