Ian Coleman
Senior Technical Underwriter (ATE), Elite Insurance Company Ltd
Ian is the Senior Technical Underwriter in the ATE Department at Elite Insurance Company Limited.
Ian qualified as a Solicitor in 1992. Following qualification he worked for a BTE Legal Expenses Underwriting Agency undertaking claims across a range of personal and commercial litigation.
From 1996 Ian has worked for a number of start-up Insurance Brokers and Underwriting Agencies and been involved in setting up companies for legal expenses underwriting and claims handling.
Ian also has experience in running off an ATE account for a UK Insurer.
More recently Ian worked for an ATE Underwriting Agency where his role included underwriting significant commercial litigation and group actions. Ian also managed, via external Lawyers, high value claims which had become contentious and/or progressed to litigation. Additional to those functions Ian worked on developing new, ATE business opportunities.
Ian is now focused on ATE, insuring high value commercial litigation and group actions.
